I had this unit little over a year. Battery started not holding charge, so went on the Acer website. They said to flash the bios to update them. I preformed this correctly and it fried my motherboard. Called Acer and asked why they had directions posted on their website that would fry my motherboard, they argued with me and offered no help. Warning to anyone if you buy and Acer, be prepared for horrible customer service and do not listen to any advice they give on the website. Other than that I loved this unit and will miss it.

The machine worked perfectly when connected to the power source, the battery would not hold a charge, when I inspected the machine before using I notice the connectors that the battery was to be plugged into were all crooked.
1. When running off the powersource my desktop would be different eveytime I booted the machine
2. The machine was very slow even for a low-end computer like a netbook.
3. There was no sensitivity at to the mouse pad at all. Most time I would click on an icon and nothing would happen.
4. Would not run off the battery so I let charge over night and the machine. I turned the machine on the next day and nothing would happen just the power light would be light?
I was able to eachange for another brand from AT&T wireless. Looking at all of the positive reviews I probably just recevied a computer from a bad lot number.

Apparently the Acer Aspire One AOA 100 & 150 are having the same technical issue all over. The screen goes blank, power off. The little Netbook just doesn't start. at first, I thought I might have caught a virus but after checking the technical website, I found out there is a BIOS update needs to be done. For whatever reason, All acer Netbooks in this model got affected. I spent 3 weeks on and off trying to do what the technical page instructed me to do and still not working. My business trip is coming up in 4 days. I can't bring "him" with me. What i need to do is to pack up my 15" 6 pounds laptop and wait until ACER can come up with some better solution.
DON'T buy it... I am disappointed.
BTW, I bought this little guy in Jan, 2009 and hoping this can unload some extra pounds. it fails to do its job.

I bought the Acer Aspire One and for the first 15 days it was wonderful and I just loved it! It was fast efficient and suited my needs. On day 16 it would not boot up we tried everything - I called Acer and got customer service which also was the tech - they made me boot up manually and after quite some time we got it to work; but it wasn't the same......I brought it back and bought the mini HP for $50.00 more and it works wonderful.

The Wi-fi has always been iffy. Today after owning it less than a year, it won't boot up. It just whines. I treat my electronics well. Not a scratch on it, it looks new. But it is garbage. I should have spent the extra $200 and gotten quality.
