This computer is awesome for mobile computing. Its about the size of a dayplanner and with the cover I bought it does so even more. Its got great battery life. I don't really have any complaints except for some slowness in surfing the internet.

I have been very happy with my recent purchase of the Acer Netbook. So far it has done everything I have asked of it. I really purchased it to use when traveling and have yet to use it that way. But it is great to have by my side in the evenings when I want to look up something or send off a quick email when I don't want to fire up the desktop.
I did buy an external DVD/CD drive in order to load programs and watch movies, etc. I have also purchased a car charger so that we can use it as a GPS mapping device. So far everything has worked perfectly.

I got this for my son to take to school. For whatever reason, the school chose this netbook as the "preferred" laptop so I picked up the white one. The battery lasts more than 6 hours so he can take it to school without a charger.
I also own a EEEPC 1000H and find it's right shift key very annoying. Acer did the keyboard the way it should be.

We purchased this netbook to allow our back office medical assistant to enter vital signs directly into the Electronic Medical Record (Allscripts). We were happy to discover that with a $2 USB cable, we could connect the Netbook directly to the automatic Blood Pressure device (Welsh Allen) resulting in speedy and accurate data transfer. By upgrading to 2GB for $25, the netbook is powerful enough to perform most functions associated with the EMR, although we haven't tried to install voice recognition into it. This is a potentially very cost effective and convenient solution for MD's who are converting to an EMR and don't want to spend several thousand dollars outfitting each exam room with its own computer. The wireless connects flawlessly and our MA seems OK with the smaller keyboard.

When I began looking for a 10 inch laptop I was very skeptical of what I could expect. A co-worker purchase one, of a different brand, but I was impressed with the weight and clarity. I began looking to see what was available at the wide range of prices. To that point I was not familiar with ACER but research was positive. I decided to buy and have been absolutely satisfied with it since it came. Light weight and very functional in airports and hotel rooms. Excellent speed and ports for any attachment I could ever want to add. I highly recommend it, a great value.
