 "Acer Aspire One" 2009-09-11
By Jim N. Decker (Nebraska)
I ordered an Acer Aspire One netbook in July and was reasonably pleased with it, especially that it had a 6 cell battery and more than exceeded the modest 6.5 hours that it should last. I received anywhere from 7-8 hours from it with fairly heavy use. The problem that occured with the first one received is after a few days and only when playing music it would play just fine for a few minutes or sometimes several hours then would start to distort horribly and the screen would turn blue and show an error message. I contacted tech support at least 3 times in one day which is about all I got done that day and nothing seemed to fix it so it was returned and a replacement was sent. The replacement appears to be problem free but will occasionally distort when playing some music so I've learned just to keep the volume level at about 1/2. It seems to be capable of several tasks at once but I haven't tried to max it out on more than 3 programs at a time because it does appear to slow it down some. All in all for the under $300.00 price tag on it I'm pleased with this product.

 "Excellent Netbook!!!" 2009-09-08
By Dustysneez
I love this Netbook! It worked perfectly right out of the box (picked up the internet without asking me to do a thing!) and I've never had a computer so fast!!! It is EXTREMELY lightweight and small - no heavier to carry with you than a thin book. And the battery is INCREDIBLE!!! If I'm just typing documents, it lasts 7 hours!!! The only downside is if your eyesight isn't perfect, you might need your glasses to read some things on the screen, for instance a web page with a lot of advertising on it (or you can zoom in or increase the text size).

 "Great for the price" 2009-08-19
By D. Smith
I bought this laptop because I was looking for something small and not to pricey. The only negative thing I have to say about it is the size of the monitor screen. They have so much stuff displayed on the screen that you can't remove, that it makes the actual viewing area smaller than the 8.9 inches you think you have. Over all this little computer works great for me. My husband would never be able to use something this small but for me, it works great. Oh and the webcam works great! My husband is deployed overseas and we Skype a lot, the webcam is very clear and sharp!

"Worked for exactly 1 month" 2009-08-14
By J. B. Collet (Kansas City)
I am extremely disappointed with the Acer Aspire One. It worked for exactly one month, or 31 days to be exact, so it was impossible to return. It is light and would have been ideal for travel, but on day 31 it simply would not turn on. The support URL listed in the service flyer was not operational and the representative in India could barely be understood. I now have to send it to a service center in TX, via FedEx (per Acer's request but at my expense)and hope for the best. All in all, a complete waste of $300.
